#3 I stop to say "Thank You" Papa

1. How do you think people value family these days?
When you hear the word “FAMILY”, what usually comes to your mind? Do you envision a beautiful home filled with lots of love and laughter? Like, a family sharing meals and exchanging stories at dinner time? Or just gathering around the television set and bond?
Looking at the present situation of our society,I can say that people value their family in various ways.Generally, people these days choose to share their time, money and effort with their friends hanging out and doing some crazy stuffs. But it doesn't apply to everybody.I can see that even though people are very busy working their ass off with hectic schedules, they still find ways and means to show how they love and value their family.Oftentimes, during their day offs and during weekends,I can see families spending quality time with each other in resorts, restaurants, malls and in parks.Others also go out of town for relaxation from a very stressful week and as well for enjoyment.People working overseas show their love to their family through the help of the world wide web. They chat with their families online, they send electronic mails and in some ways, they send gifts to their families through courier companies.Aside from that, some overseas workers choose to send letters because for them it's much more romantic and sentimental. Some people who cant afford to go out of town and go to malls and restaurants, they show that they value their family just by having a simple "salo-salo" and exchanging stories.
We can see that even at the the present busy world, busy people still look for other ways to show how they value and love their family.
In a world where most of us are caught up in our own struggle to be successful, we forget to keep in touch with the people who got us where we are, the people who gave us the confidence to conquer the world. But most of all, we should always share even a single hour of the day with the people who brought us into this world- our family.
2. How would you show you value your parents 10 years from now?
Well,I think time does change but love for your family doesn't change.Ten years from now,my father could be so old, bald and could develop memory gap. But,my love for him will never fade but will become enrich as it was before.
I could show that I value my father in many different ways.I could cook for him,buy him his medicines, take him to a vacation, bath him, push his wheelchair, buy him what he want, give him everything that he will need, make his milk, cut his fingernails. Most of all, show him the respect that I have for him that has never changed from time to time.
Aside from that I could take him abroad and spend the last days of his life seeing the beauty of nature.I would show him how beautiful the world is and make his life memorable and I would make him feel that his existence into this world has touched and renewed a thousand lives.
3. In what way can you say "Thank You" to your parents now?
For me,actions speak louder than words.I could say thank you to my parents by paying off their hardships for me.I could say thank you to them by sincerely and wholeheartedly saying "THANK YOU MA AND PA FOR EVERTHING THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME.YOU MADE ME WHO I AM NOW.I LOVE YOU SO MUCH"
I am offering this song for them.
Thank you for teaching me how to love
Showing me what the world means
What I've been dreamin' of
And now I know, there is nothing that I could not do
Thanks to You

For teaching me how to feel
Showing me my emotions
Letting me know what's real
From what is not
What I've got is more that I'd ever hoped for
And a lot of what I hope for is
Thanks to you

No mountain, no valley
No time, no space
No heartache, no heartbreak
No fall from grace
Can't stop me from believing
That my love will pull me through
Thanks to You

There's no mountain, no valley
No time, no space
No heartache, no heartbreak
No fall from grace
Can't stop me from believing
That my love will see me through
Thanks to You
Thanks to You

For teaching me how to live
Putting things in perspective
Teaching me how to give
And how to take
No mistake
We were put here together
And if I breakdown
Forgive me but it's true
That I'm aching with the love I feel inside
Thanks to You
Thanks to you

#2 Reading and Writing - The other side of ME

Many people enjoy reading as a way to relax and enrich their minds.People believe good readers are those who can read anything that comes their way, can read fast, read much and read well, or have a set of preferences developed over a period of time with reading experiences. But they often miss out on one of the most important assets that goes into being a good reader: creative reading.Creative reading isn't necessarily and only the flair to read between the lines and understand author's inherent intentions, suggestions or embedded allusions. It is the quality to be able to discern the genre and reading strategy of the book, to know if and when the author's intrusion is necessary to enjoy the book to its utmost, to be able to classify the books and authors according to varied parameters and know the time their reading will be best suited.Reading is a means of language acquisition, of communication, and of sharing information and ideas. Like all language, it is a complex interaction between the text and the reader which is shaped by the reader’s prior knowledge, experiences, attitude, and language community which is culturally and socially situated. The reading process requires continuous practices, development, and refinement. On the other side, writing is the representation of language in a textual medium through the use of a set of signs or symbols.Writing is an art as well as a science. Writing is an art since it has various styles to it and it is a science as you would use different techniques to write it.Good writing however has much more to it than just the common techniques used. It depends on who your target audience is and whether you know your audience well. The parameters for a good writer depend on the audience who is going to read it.
If I were to evaluate myself if I am a good reader and a good writer,I would say "YES" to reading and a slight "NO" to writing.I can say that I am doing good in reading not just because I can read between the lines and I have a very fine diction. But,it is because whenever I read I use to create motivation on myself,by having a perception in mind that reading will add more knowledge to me and will exercise my mind.I also use make a preview of the whole text beacuse it enables me to be prepared to read the text.I also make some anticipation and prediction after I make the preview.Whenever I read,I read silently rather than using my lips because it enables me to create thoughts and ideas about the text that I am reading.I also pay attention on important details. After reading the first time,I read again so that I can have a better understanding of the text. And whenever I'm done reading,I use to get the main idea first and get the message of the text. After that,I think critically.I use to evaluate if the text is true.I use to weigh the ideas in light of the purpose and audience and compare or contrast it with those that I have learned from the previous writings that I have read before agreeing or disagreeing to it.Lastly,I use to make a summary of the text.It enables me to review the main points and retain information better.Actually, summarizing helps improve my writings also.
On the other side,I can say that I am not a good writer at the moment because sometimes I fail to emphasize and make a brief discussion on the central idea.I use to go around the bush.My ideas are fine, however,I fail to organize them well and at the end my writing seems to be hanging or is lacking of some information that will really make other people agree, believe or get persuaded with my writings.
Behind my strength in reading and weakness in writing,I still believe that there is still room for improvement.I believe that good or critical reading is good writing.I will practice the strategies for good reading and writing so that I can be good at both aspects. And therefore,I can be an excellent reader and writer that I wanna be.

#1 My Mission in Life

A man has his own entreat. When he is so avid, he may sometimes become unwise. A man should be able to put balance and harmony in life. And if they fail to do so, they may found themselves dissipated in the wilderness. From this, a mission appears from nowhere. A personal mission is very important because it gives sense and direction to one’s life. It gives inspiration for man to achieve his aspirations. It gives encouragement to man to give his best to attain what he want to reach.
I believe I have to accomplish my ambition at the moment. Upon this accomplishment, I could then make my mind clear where I can establish my missions for the future. At this point of time, in the first year of my college education, I can say that my first mission is to finish my studies and to obtain a degree in science. Graduating from college is I think everybody’s mission. However, because of some unexpected circumstances, some fail to receive their college diplomas. When I was a child, graduating in college was just my parents dream. However, when I came to realize how complicated the real world is, it has them become my personal mission. Graduating and getting a degree is never easy, it needs a lot of dedication and determination. To be able to realize this mission, I need to give my best and do everything that I could do having a perception in mind that by this, I could help alleviate the poverty that our family is currently suffering. Achieving my mission is a process that involves internal and external factors. The internal factors are the things that go deep down to my personality and psychotic side, while the external factors are the people around me. These people are my parents, classmates and my peers who will help and mold me to become a better individual. A person who really makes importance of the mission in life.
Apart from that, my second mission is to be able to find a stable and decent job after graduation. A job that will not only harness my capabilities but will also enrich my talent. Perhaps, a job that will really suit me. I have always wanted to become a doctor because in our country, it has been given big importance and undeniably high respect. Doctors are also being paid very well .Aside from that, I am also looking after the health of the people. I want to give free service to our unfortunate brothers and sisters who can’t afford to send theirselves to the hospital. Job seeking is also a difficult mission to achieve, but with great determination and perseverance it could be a bit easier. Through this, I can earn a living for myself and for my family.
My third mission is to marry a woman who would make me fall in love forever  and who is willing to share a lifetime love story with me and will born our children. And just like every fairy tale, I want to live with my family happily ever after.
And lastly, my final mission is to live eternally with GOD the FATHER in HIS paradise in HEAVEN with HIS angels.
To be able to actualize this missions, I need to be brave enough to face the trials and obstacles that may come my way, I need to be wise in making the right decisions bearing in mind that one false move may ruin everything and I always need to have faith and trust in the Lord who will lead me to my success.Accomplishing these lifetime missions would be a sign of my great success from being a scratch to being SOMEBODY in this world.
